Wilma started her career at Sanlam in 1989 as a representative in the field of life insurance, business insurance, retirement benefits and estate planning. She studied towards a degree in Financial Planning with the Institute of Life and Pension Advisors (ILPA) and was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute in 1998. She then joined Standard Bank as advisor and after a few years joined a broker network in Kempton Park. In 2005 Wilma became an independent financial advisor focusing on small businesses and private individuals. She joined Wealth Associates in 2016 where she uses her many years of experience to offer financial planning services and solutions to her clients.
